Police investigating the report of a robbery at an off-licence at Railway Street in Lisburn have arrested two men.
Shortly before 10pm on Tuesday 17th December, it was reported that a man claiming to be armed with a knife entered an off-licence in the area and demanded alcohol and money from a staff member. He then made off from the premises on foot accompanied by another male. Police attended and conducted a number of enquiries which led to the arrests of two men, both aged 31, a short time later at a nearby flat at Graham Gardens. Both men were arrested on suspicion of robbery and remain in police custody at this time.
Enquiries are continuing and police would appeal to anyone who witnessed the incident or who has any information to contact detectives in Lisburn on 101 quoting reference number 1750 17/12/24.
