Police investigating a report of burglary at commercial premises at the King Street area of Belfast on Tuesday 28th July, have made two arrests
Inspector Jackson said: “At around 4:40am, it was reported to police that a man and a woman used a nearby beer keg to smash a window of a property in the area. They entered the business and made off with a sum of money following the incident. Damage was caused to a front window of the door of the property and the back door was lying open following the incident
“Officers subsequently arrested a 32 year old man and a 33 year old woman on suspicion of burglary with intent to steal. Both remain in police custody at this time, and a sum of money was recovered following the arrest.
“Our enquiries are ongoing and we continue to work closely with key stakeholders and partner agencies in helping to keep the city centre safe.
