Police have charged a man and a woman to court following arrests in the early hours of Monday, 23rd February at a car park in the Marine Highway area of Carrickfergus, which resulted in the recovery of a substantial amount of cash, and suspected drugs in a related search.
The 39-year-old male is charged with possessing criminal property, possession of a Class A controlled drug, possessing counterfeit currency and possession of goods with intent to evade duty.
The 32-year-old female is charged with a number of offences, including possessing criminal property, possession of a Class A controlled drug with intent to supply and possessing counterfeit currency.
Both are due to appear before Belfast Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, 24th February.
As is usual procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
