Police have charged two people to court following a robbery and assault on a male at the junction of Albert Street and Divis Street in Belfast in the early hours of Thursday morning, 5th February.
A 22-year-old male is charged with non-fatal strangulation or asphyxiation, robbery, false imprisonment and fraud by false representation.
He is due to appear before Belfast Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 6th February.
A 27-year-old female is also charged with robbery and is due to appear before Belfast Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, 4th March.
As is usual procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
