The Police Service of Northern Ireland can confirm a woman has sadly died following a collision involving a lorry in Armagh on Wednesday, 3rd December.
She was 54-year-old Aileen Finch from the Markethill area.
Chief Inspector Simpson of the Police Service of Northern Ireland’s Collision Investigation Unit said: “Police received a report at around 10.20am of a collision involving a lorry and a female pedestrian in the Gosford Road area of Markethill.
“Officers and colleagues from the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service attended the scene and the woman was taken to hospital, where she remained in a critical condition. However, she has since sadly passed away.
“Our enquiries are continuing and we would appeal to anyone who witnessed the collision, or who may have digital footage which could assist with our investigation, to contact the Collision Investigation Unit on 101, quoting reference number 353 of 03/12/25.”
