What to do if you have fallen victim to sextortion

If you have been a victim of sextortion, then you are certainly not alone. It is important not to panic and remember the following:

  • Don't respond to demands and don't pay up.
  • End all communication with the blackmailers, do not continue to message them.
  • Block the offender on ALL platforms and change your password on all accounts.
  • If you can, confide in a trusted friend or family member and please contact police immediately on 101.
