Please note that the owner of the vehicle cannot opt to have the case heard in court if they were not the driver of the vehicle at the time of offence.

  • Yes. You need to telephone the Fixed Penalty Processing Centre on 0845 600 8000 to enable them to trace the notice number. Please have your vehicle registration number at the ready. Also please remember you must make payment within 21 days.

  • The Fixed Penalty Processing Centre is not in a position to consider any mitigation you may have to offer. The only way to appeal against the issue of a non-endorsable notice is to request a court hearing.

  • The Fixed Penalty Processing Centre will generate a fine registration certificate, which results in this fine increasing from £30 to £45. The fine is registered at your local court.

  • Assuming that you are the owner of the vehicle you must avail of the option either to pay the fine or opt for a court hearing. If you are not the owner then you are not liable for the fixed penalty. However, you must return the Notice to Owner to the Fixed Penalty Processing Centre advising us to whom the vehicle was sold. Failure to do so will result in the matter being registered as a fine (£45 penalty) at your local court, which you will be liable for.

  • The ultimate responsibility lies with the registered keeper of the vehicle. You can pay the fixed penalty notice and arrange private reimbursement from the driver. Alternatively, if the driver disputes the issue of the fixed penalty notice you can both sign the Statutory Statement of Facts section of the Notice to Owner requesting a court hearing. If you require any further help please phone us on 101 Non Emergency Number. The Fixed Penalty Processing Centre’s opening hours are 8am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday.
