The Safeguarding Board for Northern Ireland (SBNI) was established in 2012 following the publication of the Safeguarding Board Act (Northern Ireland) 2011. SBNI is made up of essential organisations from statutory, community, and voluntary sectors. They collaborate with these groups, professions, the broader community, and individuals with a key aim of protecting the wellbeing of children and young people in Northern Ireland.

The SBNI Online Safety Hub brings together the latest advice and support for children and young people, families and professionals. Whether it’s information about sharing images, social media, screen time or knowing where to turn to when something doesn’t feel right - the Hub has free and accessible advice to help young people and families feel more safe, secure and supported online.
