Why did you join the Police Service?
After graduating with a degree in Geography, I then started to work in the energy sector. However, I was already thinking about doing something more rewarding and then I noticed the Police were recruiting.

I knew I wanted to help people and make a difference in our communities. After I read up about the role and what was involved, I knew then that joining the Police was absolutely what I wanted to do.

What are you enjoying most about the Student Officer Training?
The training is intense and can be very challenging, but it is also very rewarding. There have been many opportunities to speak with colleagues and come together during our discussion time to reflect on what we have learnt.

Personal Protective Skills has been one of my favourite modules on the course so far as we were able to put our skills into practice.

What do you hope to achieve as a Police Officer?
Primarily, I want to make a difference in the community.

Whilst I am not entirely sure yet where I want to go after my probationary period, there are endless amounts of opportunities in the police and specialist departments that you can apply for.

When I can, I aim to challenge myself to see how far I can go.
