Clare Duffield joined the Police Service of Northern Ireland on 6 June 2022 as the Assistant Chief Officer for People and Organisational Development. 

Clare’s portfolio includes Human Resources, Occupational Health and Wellbeing, Health and Safety and the Police College.

Clare’s focus is on working with the Senior Executive Team to enable the organisation to face some of the challenges for the future with particular emphasis on delivering a service that is representative, inclusive and resourced to meet the Policing needs of the public.

Being responsible for the Police College, Clare’s focus will be on helping to provide training and development that will equip officers and staff to deliver a professional policing service that also values the health and wellbeing of all.

Prior to joining the Police Service of Northern Ireland Clare was the Director of Human Resources and Corporate Services in the Education Authority. She has also worked within a number of other organisations including Northern Health and Social Care Trust, Belfast Health and Social Care Trust and B&Q plc. Clare has been a Chartered Member of the CIPD since May 2002 and a Chartered Fellow since February 2022.
