Detectives in Derry/Londonderry, investigating assaults on four police officers and a custody detention officer on Thursday morning, 27th November, in the Collon Lane area, have charged a man to court.

The 21-year-old has been charged with a number of offences which include attempted murder, wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm, assault on police and possession of an offensive weapon with intent to commit an indictable offence.

He is due to appear at Dungannon Magistrates’ Court on Saturday 29th November.

As is usual procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
