Police are appealing for witnesses and information following an arson attack in Bangor in the early hours of this morning, Sunday, 26th July.
Inspector Edgar said: “We received a report at around 3.40am of an attempted burglary at a property in the Fort Road area.
“Upon arrival at the scene, however, it was discovered that a car parked in the driveway had been set alight, with the fire then spreading to a second vehicle parked nearby.
"Colleagues from the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service also attended and extinguished the fire.
“We’re treating this as arson with intent to endanger life and our enquiries are ongoing.
