Police are appealing for information and witnesses following an assault in south Belfast.
Sergeant Rooney said: “We received a report at approximately 3.40pm today, Monday, 6th October, that two men and a woman attacked another man on a pedestrian walkway suspended over train tracks in the Lisburn Road area, near a hospital.
“The victim is understood to have been knocked to the ground by the suspects who then kicked him a couple of times.
“He sustained an injury to his face and head as a result of the assault – and was taken to hospital for treatment.
“Our enquiries are continuing this evening into what happened, a motive, and to identify who was responsible.
“Anyone who witnessed what happened or has information that could help with our investigation is asked to contact police on 101, quoting reference number 1080 06/10/25.
“We would also be keen to hear from anyone who may have dash-cam, CCTV or other footage of the area.”
