Police are appealing for witnesses in relation to a report of a single vehicle road traffic collision which occurred on the Newry Road, Hilltown, at around 9.45pm yesterday, Sunday 24th May.
Officers attended the scene together with colleagues from the emergency services.
The driver of a car and a passenger were taken to hospital for treatment for their injuries, which are serious but not believed to be life threatening.
The Newry Road, which had been closed for a period of time, has now re-opened.
Police enquiries are ongoing, and we would ask anyone who was in the area at the time, and might have any mobile phone or dash cam footage, or any other information which might assist, to get in touch.
