Police in Dromore are appealing for information and witnesses following a road traffic collision involving a male pedestrian and a car in the early hours of Sunday 28th June.
Inspector Woods said: “We received a report at around 1.50am of a road traffic collision in the vicinity of Market Square, Dromore. It was reported a pedestrian had been struck by a black Toyota Yaris, which then made off from the scene.
“Officers attended, along with colleagues from the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service. A 28 year-old man was subsequently taken to hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.
“A 20 year-old man was arrested a short time later on suspicion of a number of offences including dangerous driving causing grievous bodily harm and on suspicion of driving with excess alcohol and is currently in police custody.
