A man has been arrested following a search of a property in the Mourne Drive area of Warrenpoint yesterday, Monday 27th July.
Newry Mourne and Down Chief Inspector Adam Ruston said “Officers from our District Support Team, supported by the Local Policing Team, seized a large amount of cash, along with a small quantity of Class B drugs and various drug related paraphernalia.
“One man, aged 31, was subsequently arrested on suspicion of drug related offences, including possession with intent to supply. Following interview, he was released on bail to allow for further enquiries.
“Our officers will continue to protect communities from the harm caused by illegal drugs. We would appeal to anyone who has information about suspected drugs activity in their area to call us on 101. Your information could make a difference”
