Detectives are appealing for information following a reported burglary in Carryduff last night, Thursday 8th January.
Detective Sergeant Crossett said: “Entry was gained at around 7.15pm when three men smashed patio doors at the rear of the property in Black Quarter Meadow.
"The men, described as dressed all in black with local accents, searched the house but left empty handed.
"Two children were present at the time, and although they were not physically harmed or threatened, they have been left extremely frightened by this intrusion into their home.
“Our enquiries are ongoing and we would appeal to anyone who noticed anything suspicious in the area to contact us on 101, quoting reference 1282 08/01/26.
"We would also ask local residents to check their CCTV or doorbell footage."
