Detectives investigating a reported serious assault which occurred in the Shore Road area of north Belfast on Tuesday 16th June have charged a man to court.

The man, aged 32, has been charged with a number of offences including grievous bodily harm with intent, aggravated burglary and possession of an offensive weapon with intent. 

He is due to appear before Belfast Magistrates' Court on Thursday 18th June. 

As is usual procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
