Detectives are appealing for information following a report of an armed robbery at commercial premises located at the Sandy Row area of south Belfast on Sunday 24th August.

Detective Sergeant Kitchen said: “Shortly before 6:55pm, it was reported that a masked male entered an off-licence in the area armed with a knife. The man demanded money from the till and made off with a sum of money towards the Rowland Way area. Two male staff members who were inside the premises, were not injured but left shaken following the incident.

“The male was described as 5”7 in height, of heavy build and wearing a scarf over his face. He was described as wearing a dark navy coloured jacket with a hood up and tracksuit bottoms. 

“Enquiries are continuing and police would appeal to anyone with any information in relation to the incident, to contact them on 101 quoting reference number 1473 24/08/25.
