Detectives from the Police Service of Northern Ireland’s Organised Crime Branch have charged a man to court following a search in east Belfast on Thursday, 26th February.

A quantity of suspected Class A, B and C drugs, as well as a sum of cash and a number of other items were seized by officers.

The 22-year-old man arrested in connection with the investigation has been charged with possession of a Class A controlled drug with intent supply, and a number of other drug-related offences.

He has also been charged with possessing criminal property. The man is due to appear before Belfast Magistrates’ Court on Saturday morning, 28th February.

As is usual procedure, the charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.

Meanwhile, an 18-year-old woman also arrested on Thursday, 26th February on suspicion of a number of related offences, has been released on police bail to allow for further enquiries.
