Detectives from the Police Service’s Organised Crime Branch have recovered quantities of suspected class A and B drugs and arrested two people following a search in east Belfast.

Detective Sergeant Conlan said: “We conducted a search of a house in the east Belfast area on Thursday 26th February and recovered approximately 1.5kgs of suspected cocaine, a quantity of suspected cannabis, a sum of cash and a number of other items. A 22 year old man and an 18 year old woman were arrested on suspicion of a number of offences including possession of class A and B controlled drugs, possession with intent to supply class A drugs and possession of criminal property. Both remain in police custody at this time.
