Police have made an arrest following a stabbing in Omagh in the early hours of this morning, Sunday, 19th April.

Sergeant Irvine said: “We received a report at around 12.25am that a man in the Kevlin Road area had been stabbed in the lower abdomen.

“Officers attended the scene, where colleagues from the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service were already present. The male was then taken on to hospital for treatment to his injuries.

“A 44-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent. He remains in police custody at this time.

“Our enquiries are ongoing and anyone with information, including CCTV, ring-doorbell or other footage, is asked to contact detectives on the 101 number, quoting reference 34 of 19/04/26.
