A 31-year-old man arrested following the report of an assault on the Westbourne Crescent area of Coleraine on Wednesday 6th May, has been charged to court.

The man has been charged with a number of offences including grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of a class B controlled drug.

He is expected to appear before Coleraine Magistrates' Court on today, Thursday 7th May.

As is usual procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
