Detectives investigating a security alert in Glenarm on Monday 6th April have charged a 43 year old man with doing an act with intent to cause an explosion likely to endanger life or cause serious injury to property, obstructing police and possessing fireworks without a licence. He is due to appear at Coleraine Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 8th April. As is normal procedure all charges are reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.

A 47 year old man, arrested in connection with the investigation, has been released and a report will be forwarded to the Public Prosecution Service for the offence of Obstructing Police.
