Belfast City Centre

The main Pride parade will move off from the area of Custom House Square at around 1pm taking in the areas of High Street, Bridge Street, Waring Street, Donegall Street, Royal Avenue, Donegall Place, Donegall Square North, Chichester Street, Victoria Street and Anne Street. The parade should conclude around 4pm. We would encourage anyone attending the event to do so safely and advise road users that there will be traffic restrictions in the city centre for a number of hours on Saturday. Please plan any journeys in advance and, if travelling to the event, park legally and do not obstruct access to any residential or business properties. Officers will be on the ground to accommodate the flow of traffic.

The Festival of Chariots, (Rath Yatra) will take place on Saturday 25th July, assembling at Writers Square at 11am. The parade will then proceed along the following route at 12:30pm:  Writers Square – Donegall Street – Royal Avenue – Donegall Place – Donegall Square North – Donegall Square East – Donegall Square South – Bedford Street – Dublin Road – Shaftsbury Square – Bradbury Place – University Road – Crescent Gardens. Police diversions will be in place

 

East Belfast

A band parade is due to assemble at Tower Street at 09:30am and move off at 10:15am proceeding along the following route:  Outward Route: 10.15am – Tower Street  – Beechfield Street -  Templemore Avenue - Newtownards Road - Bridge End - Queen Elizabeth I Bridge - Ann Street - Victoria Street - High Street - Castle Place - Donegall Place - Belfast City Hall.  There will a short commemoration service at Belfast City Hall Cenotaph at 10:45am until approximately 11:15am. The parade will then proceed along the following return route: Return route: 11.15am - Belfast City Hall – Chichester Street – Victoria Street -   Queens Square – Donegall Quay - Queen Elizabeth II Bridge - Middlepath Street - Newtownards Road – Dee Street.  Police diversions will be in place.

 

South Belfast

A band parade is due to assemble at 1pm at Pine Street and parade the following route: Pine Street – Elm Street – Walnut Street – Donegall Pass – Shaftesbury Square – Great Victoria Street – Wellwood Street – Sandy Row – Donegall Road – Barrington Street Abington Drive – Donegall Road – Shaftesbury Square –Dublin Road – Posnett Street – Vernon Street – Walnut Street – Donegall Pass – Pine Street. Police diversions will be in place

A band parade is due to assemble and proceed from Charlotte Street at 3.30pm proceeding along the following route: Charlotte Street – Donegall Pass – Shaftesbury Square – Great Victoria Street – Wellwood Street – Sandy Row – Donegall Road – Barrington Gardens – Abington Drive – Donegall Road – Shaftesbury Square - Dublin Road – Posnett Street – Vernon Street – Walnut Street – Donegall Pass – Pine Street  Police diversions will be in place
