Officers from Lisburn Road’s Neighbourhood Policing Team conducted a search of a property in the Collingwood Avenue area of South Belfast on Friday 5th June.

Neighbourhood Inspector Sean Dalton said: “A number of items were seized including suspected Class A, B and C drugs, drug related paraphernalia and cash.

“One residential property was searched, and two men aged 22 and 24 were arrested on a number of offences including suspicion of possession of a Class A controlled drug. A third man, aged 25, was later arrested on suspicion of the same offences.

“The men aged 22 and 24 have since been released on bail to allow for further enquiries. The third man remains in police custody, and the items recovered from the search will now undergo forensic examination.

“We will continue to proactively investigate and carry out searches linked to the drugs trade to identify those involved.

"However, we also rely upon information from the public whose support is crucial in helping us to tackle the scourge of drugs. With the help of the public, we can focus our efforts on identifying those who make their living by bringing drugs to our streets.”
