Road-users and other members of the public are advised that a planned band competition and parade will take place in Bangor this evening, Friday, 24th July between 7pm and 11.30pm. It is anticipated that approximately 2,500 people and 50-60 bands will take part in the competition.

The bands will assemble at and leave from Marquis Hall, Abbey Street before taking the following route:

Marquis Hall - Abbey Street - Main Street - Bridge Street - High Street - Bingham Street - Mills Road - Hamilton Road - Main Street - Abbey Street - Marquis Hall.

Due to the number of participants and spectators expected in these areas, local officers will be on the ground to assist with diversions and to enable local access to residents and carers, where required.
