Police investigating a report of a serious altercation in the Crumlin Road area of north Belfast in the early hours of Friday 5th June, have charged two men to court.

One man, aged 44, has been charged with possessing an article with blade or point in public place, criminal damage, possessing offence weapon in public place, common assault, and disorderly behaviour. 

The second man, aged 46, has been charged with grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of an offensive weapon with intent to commit an indictable offence. 

Both men are expected to appear before Belfast Magistrates Court on Friday 3rd July.

As is usual procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
