Police in Ballymena who made two arrests in the early hours of this morning, Friday 5th June, in relation to drugs and motoring related offences, have charged one man to court.


The 41-year-old has been charged with possession of a Class B controlled drug, possession of a Class C controlled drug, and possession of article with blade or point in a public place. 


He is expected to appear before Ballymena Magistrates Court on 2nd July.


As is usual procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.


A second man, aged 22, who had been arrested on suspicion of a number of driving and drugs offences after being observed driving a car erratically in the Antrim Road area, has been released on bail to allow for further police enquiries.
