In accordance with guidance issued by the Association of Chief Police Officer (ACPO), we will not release information to third parties when an investigation is ongoing or a matter is being considered or pursued for prosecution¹.
¹The exceptions to this are:
- An individuals own statement
- Information required to be released under a Court Order
- Custody Records
- Occurrence Summary
- The Public Prosecution Service (PPS) is the prosecuting authority within Northern Ireland and information subject to the pending prosecution is ordinarily shared through the process of disclosure
