Police in Belfast are appealing for information following the serious assault of a man in the city centre in the early hours of Sunday, 14th June.

It was reported that the man, aged in his early 20s, was outside licenced premises in the Dunbar Street area at around 3.15am when he was assaulted by two men, also believed to be aged in their twenties. 

The victim was knocked unconscious and sustained a number of facial fractures.

Enquiries are continuing and we would appeal to anyone who witnessed this assault, or may have seen the suspects – one of whom was dressed all in black, while the second was wearing an orange coloured top and light coloured trousers.
