Welcome to Lisburn and Castlereagh City District. The District incorporates Lisburn and Castlereagh which includes a large number of culturally diverse towns, villages and rural communities. Each year we welcome people from across the UK and Ireland to the Balmoral show, hosted by the Royal Ulster Agricultural society. We also welcome members of the Royal household, Secretary of State and other foreign dignitaries to Hillsborough Castle, the only Royal residence in Northern Ireland.
 
We have three neighbourhood teams, with a neighbourhood officer assigned to each district electoral ward.

We deliver a policing service that is community focused, tackling the issues that matter to you.

Your Local Policing Area

Local policing in the Lisburn and Castlereagh District is delivered by Local Policing Response Teams (LPRTs), Local Neighbourhood Policing Teams (LNPTs) and a District Support Team (DST).

Communities living in the Lisburn and Castlereagh District now have five LPRTs, based in Lisburn and Dundonald Police Stations, providing 24 hour cover to keep people safe.

Local Neighbourhood Policing

There are three LNPTs who cover every district electoral ward in the Lisburn and Castlereagh District. 

LNPTs are based in based in Lisburn and Dundonald Police Stations and work in partnership with communities as well as statutory and voluntary bodies to address local issues and concerns and find long lasting solutions.

The teams are committed to improving your quality of life and building safer communities with you. Your neighbourhood officers work in partnership with other agencies in health, education and local government to deliver collaborative solutions.

Foreword from District Commander

We are working hard every day in Lisburn and Castlereagh to provide a safe environment and community for everyone who works, lives and visits here.

We have two police stations across the district in Lisburn and Dundonald and deliver 24/7 policing with five Local Policing Response Teams (LPRTs), one District Support Team and three Local Neighbourhood Policing Teams (LNPTs) responding to your calls for service.

Neighbourhood policing is at the heart of the service we deliver and we work closely with our partners in different sectors to find comprehensive and long lasting solutions to the concerns you raise.
